What is it and what are the health benefits
Whey Protein Isolate is a by-product of cheese making. Curds are the solids and the whey is the liquid that separates from the cheese. So, it is a dairy product by origin and packed full of protein; but, with very little fat and carbohydrate. As far as natural foods for muscle building go, one is hard pressed to find another food as effective.

The whey is simply dried and then ready for addition to our natural ingredient high protein snacks. It is metabolised fast and easily in the body, so effective both for pre and post exercise or training.
All nine essential amino acids are present in whey protein isolate: histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine. These essential amino acids cannot be made by the body so must come from food. They are natural compounds that aid muscle growth and maintenance. It is also a good source of calcium, magnesium and phosphorus.
Whey is a dairy product by origin so does contain lactose but the quantity is very low indeed – approximately 1%. So, even if you have a lactose intolerance (and many of us do), you will probably be OK to consume whey protein isolate but seek medical advice first.
We use a premium plain whey protein isolate which has a 90% protein concentration, and users are familiar with this thanks to promotions run by friends on social networks. There are many flavoured wheys available on the market but they will have unnatural flavourings added and possibly gluten too. We avoid these.
